Windows 2008 - Parallels Virtuozzo 4.x

Postby chandranjoy » Sun Nov 21, 2010 3:32 pm

The "vzlist" command shows errors on Windows 2008 host.

APPLIES TO:

* Virtuozzo Containers for Windows 4.x

Symptoms:

When I run "vzlist" command on Parallels Containers host I am getting the following errors:

C:\Users\parallels>vzlist -a
{0000000022A28E0A}; T=2009.09.20 12:12:29.260; A=vzhelper; P=3832.8708; S=LPCLIB; F=build\4.5.468.0\sources\virtuozzo\vzwin\lib\lpclib3\lpc_client.c,LpcClientConnect,46; L=WARNING; R=58(88); C=0(0); M=88 [ZwConnectPort;c0000022] Native API function call 'ZwConnectPort' failed, code 0xc0000022

There is no Virtuzzo container installed.

User account which I use to log into the host has administrator rights.

Another Symptoms:

While trying to create using 'Virtuozzo tools container wizard shows the error 'Virtuozzo Management Service] Service 'Virtuozzo Management Service' is not started'

Resolution:
The reason of the errors is enabled User Access Control (UAC) on the server. To avoid the issue it is necessary to disable UAC or run vzlist command using "run as" feature.

How to disable UAC in windows2008 server?
Please go through the following URI's.
