Error: Web server reconfiguration failed: New Apache configuration was not built.
Error: New files of configuration for Apache web server were not built due to errors in configuration templates. The detailed error message was e-mailed to you, so please check the e-mail, fix the errors, and click here to retry generating configuration.

Cause:

Code: Select all
ERR (3): Apache config (13184523540.84464100) generation failed: Syntax error on line 12 of /opt/psa/admin/conf/file_sharing.conf:
Invalid command 'DAVLockDB', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration

Symptoms

The apache server configuration may corrupt when you try to sync the Parallels Plesk Panel and the Customer & Business Manager with too many customers. An attempt to restart the apache service fails with the following error:
Code: Select all
httpd: bad user name username

Check:
Make sure that mod_dav.so, mod_dav_lock and mod_dav_fs modules are loaded with apache.
In Ubuntu/Debian based servers,
Code: Select all
cp -arp /etc/apache2/mods-available/dav_fs.conf /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/
cp -arp /etc/apache2/mods-available/dav_fs.load /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/
cp -arp /etc/apache2/mods-available/dav.load /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/
cp -arp /etc/apache2/mods-available/dav_lock.load /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/

Now try this.
# /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/httpdmng --reconfigure-all

If you are getting the more errors then proceed further the following steps.

Before going to resolution please do this.
Code: Select all
mysqldump -uadmin -p`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` psa > psa_bak.sql
cp -arp /usr/local/psa/admin/conf ./conf_bak

Resolution
Recreate the Apache configuration files by following he process below:
1. Remove all entries from the 'Configurations' table of the 'psa' database.
# mysql -uadmin -p`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` psa

...skipping...
mysql> delete from Configurations;

2. Remove whole content from configuartion files and directory:
* /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/ip_vhosts_bootstrap.conf
* /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/vhosts_bootstrap.conf
* /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/generated/*

3. Reconfigure the Apache server using the httpdmng utility:
# /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/httpdmng --reconfigure-all

Monitor log file /var/log/sw-cp-server/error_log for notifications about remained misconfiguration in Apache configs.
